法律監督網重慶市人民檢察院主辦 Description: 1997年3月，第八屆全國人民代表大會第五次會議批準設立重慶直轄市，轄原四川省重慶市、萬縣市、涪陵市、黔江地區，體制調整后，全市有40個區、縣（民族自治縣、市），地域面積8.24萬平方公里，人口3.59千萬。同年6月19日，重慶市人民檢察院掛牌成立，現下轄5個分院、40個區縣（自治縣、市）檢察院。
直轄以來，重慶市檢察院建立健全了直轄市檢察機構，形成了有重慶特色的管理模式，充分履行憲法和法律賦予的神圣職責，積極查辦貪污、賄賂、瀆職等職務犯罪，嚴厲打擊刑事犯罪，大力開展訴訟監督，各項工作穩步推進，有力地維護了社會政治穩定，為重慶市的經濟發展和社會進步作出了新的貢獻。
直轄十幾年來，重慶市檢察機關堅持“素質興檢”，開展教育整頓，加強教育培訓，深化檢察改革，加強隊伍建設，塑造了一支新時期高素質的檢察隊伍。...
